Veeam Cares: Spotlight on Scouting

Veeam Cares is the #Veeamazing corporate program that encourages Veeamers to volunteer in order to impact our world (in addition to fixing the world’s data protection and data management challenges). One of the perks of being a Veeamer is that Veeam gives our employees 24 hours (three business days) of volunteer time, above and beyond PTO and regional holidays. I’m a volunteer leader in Scouting (which is also a worldwide movement); so, this year, I spent my Veeam Cares days and some vacation time serving at the World Scout Jamboree, where 45,000 youth from 150 countries came together for 12 days.

Check out this video for more about Veeam Cares, Scouting, and the World Scout Jamboree.

It’s worth pointing out that the Scout Motto is “Be Prepared” — which probably resonates with a lot of the Backup Administrators and BC/DR Planners that utilize Veeam technologies, as well.

As always, thanks for watching.
